If you want a traditional Cretan restaurent

Yes the Kourtsa is a taverna for local people but tourists are always welcome and Nikos is a great guy. If you want real Cretan food and drink, this is the place, even if there's not music. Not everywhere...

While in Vafes for a few weeks I visited this Taverna regularly for a drink, as no menu was available I assumed that the Taverna wasn’t open ( other than for very basic food ) however on my third week...
