Porfyra taverna (tavern) in Nopigia, Kissamos, is a family-run business on the seafront that opens its doors to the public and provides the best possible service.
This taverna serves traditional local cuisine, oven-cooked dishes, fish, local delicacies and meat cooked to order. In addition, some of the specialties of the taverna are pies, tsigariastó (slow cooked lamb or goat), grilled fish, sardines, and all kinds of tasty delicacies made with shrimps. The taverna, also, serves squid, mussels and many more dishes.

Delicious tuna steak and exquisite octopus, accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice. We enjoyed it, and the service was friendly and helpful. We recommend it.

Sardines were truly amazing. Grilled squid was good too, although my fellow diner felt it could have been cooked a little more. The Greek salad was super fresh & really lovely. The view as always here...

Absolutely delicious fresh food. Amazing place, no crowds, sunset view. I'm coming back and feel welcome every time. They understand my needs and always offer something perfectly according my taste.

Absolutely the place to be for a meal at any time. Excellent food, very friendly staff and very accommodating towards our little dog. I can't recommend this beautifully situated taverna highly enough...
