The private school PROTYPA EKPAIDEFTIRIA THESSALONIKIS is situated in Pylaia, Elaiones.

53 years ago we aimed to create an environment to best secure the future education of the minds of the upcoming generations. Thus, we created a state of the art, family friendly, “green” school specializing In primary school education in one of Thessaloniki’s most beautiful nature filled areas.

At the Protypa Ekpaideftiria Thessalonikis, pupils are taught in small classes using interactive boards and computers. Children are prepared for the following school day and guidance is given to any pupils who need it. Parents are kept up to date every day, and E.R.P. and C.R.M. systems are used to ensure that the school operates smoothly and is perfectly organised.

The school day is extended (06:45-17:00) and, as part of the school’s ongoing effort to help working parents, children can attend the school for 10 or 11 months (from 25/8 to 25/7 the following year).

Children start learning English in nursery school (University of Cambridge certificates) and we also have French and German language departments (certificates DELF και FIT). The European Languages Programme (E.L.P) is a programme for primary students supplementary to our already well-established foreign language curriculum in combination with the Bilingual Kindergarten program and the Little Kiddies English Club for the nursery school and kindergarten.

Children are transferred to and from school safely and securely in our state-of-the-art fleet of private school buses, they play happily in our playgrounds which have special, certified safety surfaces and, because of our cooperation with a private security company, they are completely safe throughout the day.

The school runs 29 after school clubs, which have been operating smoothly for the past 20 years. These give our pupils the opportunity to work creatively, with the guidance of experienced, acclaimed and distinguished instructors in school after the end of the scheduled school day.

Innovative (Protypo) Music School Thessalonikis offers state-recognised certification and diplomas.

The school provides ongoing medical supervision, a child psychology department and speech therapy department. Also, to meet the needs and concerns of the modern family, we have been organising Parenting School for the past 16 years, open to all parents in our region.

In our dining area the preparation of home-made food is taken under great consideration thus, meals are prepared in collaboration with a pediatrician and a nutritionist.

Finally, after the end of the school year and for two or three weeks, the English Summer Camp is organized, an English-speaking day camp with native English-speaking teachers.
