ZACHAROPLASTEION PAPAPARASKEVA (patisserie) in Glyfada, was founded in 1926 by the late Georgios Papaparaskea, offering customers unique sweet delights.

George Papaparaskevas was born in 1905 in the 40 Churches of Eastern Thrace. After a few wanderings in the Confectioneries of Xanthi and after adapting to the new conditions caused by the refugee, in 1926 he opened his own Confectionery in the district of the Twelve Apostles and started making the sweets he had learned (trigons, etc.). In 1933 he moved the business to Kavalas Street, which is more crowded, to a store next to the current one. In 1935, a pastry shop was opened in the current location, which quickly stood out for the quality of the ingredients and the originality.

Today, the third generation has taken over, since their children have also actively entered the business, making use of the new building facilities and the specialized staff with long-term experience. The excellent cooperation between them as well as the persistence in maintaining tradition and quality are the secrets of the successful course of the company.
