Second time I’ve attempted to go and the one time it was shut for a function and the second time we attempted for sunset and it shut at 7-15. It would be good to see the sunset from in there fort but...

Worth the walk and entry fee for the views. Shame there aren't a few more information boards around. Little shade, so possibly avoid the hottest part of the day.

Very cool site with beautiful views. Feels like they haven't put much effort into it but it is still very interesting but there's not much info at hand. Everything we know we found on the internet.

The fortezza is well worth a visit. Great value, especially if you buy a combined ticket with the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete down the road but note they only accept card payments. Great views...
