KAKOGIANNI VASILIKI

Dr KAKOGIANNI VASILIKI is a vascular surgeon (MD, MSc) in Acharnes. In 1999, she graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras. From 2011 to 2012, she completed a master’s degree in “endovascular techniques” at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

From February to July 2006, she took continuing education courses in vascular ultrasound. She has earned 30 continuing education credits from the Panhellenic Medical Association in accordance with EACCUE-UEUS criteria. In February 2002, she was certified in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) through the Greek ATLS program at the University of Patras in Patras. In May 2003, she attended the International Workshop on Intestinal Permeability in Health and Disease.

Professional Experience: The doctor completed a three-month mandatory training program at the Second Internal Medicine Teaching Clinic, the Third Surgical Clinic, and the Second Cardiology Clinic of the “Evangelismos” General Hospital of Athens. She completed her mandatory rural service at the Sifnos Health Center (rural clinic). The doctor completed her residency at the University Surgical Clinic of the Regional University General Hospital of Patras. She completed her fellowship in the ICU at the Regional University General Hospital of Patras from January 7 to March 5, 2004.

As for vascular surgery, he completed his residency at the Vascular Surgery Department of the Regional University General Hospital of Heraklion from March 18, 2004, to August 31, 2006, and from September 1, 2007, to March 22, 2008. As for thoracic surgery, she completed her residency at the Thoracic Surgery Clinic of the “Evangelismos” General Hospital in Athens (Director: Dr. I. Belenis) from September 1, 2006, to August 31, 2007.

She served as an Assistant Resident, Level B, in the Vascular Surgery Department of the “Thriasio” General Hospital from October 1, 2008, to September 30, 2009. She also served as an Assistant Attending Physician, Class B, in the Vascular Surgery Department of Thriassio General Hospital from November 19, 2009, to November 18, 2010. The doctor is a former associate and consulting physician for the Bank of Greece. She has been an associate physician at Alpha Bank’s polyclinics since January 1, 2015.

The doctor also maintained a private practice in Patras starting January 17, 2012, which was later relocated to Keratsini. In a renovated facility, she offers a range of tests to better diagnose and assess the condition of any venous disease (spider veins, varicose veins, ulcers, etc.), as well as treatments using the most modern and effective methods.

The services cover the following venous and arterial conditions: spider veins, varicose veins (foam sclerotherapy), angioplasty (balloon dilation), and venous insufficiency. She also treats abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis, peripheral arterial disease of the lower extremities, and endovascular procedures. The doctor is contracted with all health insurance funds and also makes house calls.
