THERA-BE VASILEIOU KONSTANTINOS, in Patra, which employs experienced occupational therapists, specialises in the prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of speech, voice, swallowing and motor function disorders and in education for children, adolescents and adults (speech therapy - occupational therapy - special education - psychological support - counselling).

The head of the clinic is Konstantinos S. Vasileiou. A speech-language pathologist S.I. MSc PhD (c), specialised on Neuroscience in Language and Communication (UCL University of London), PhD candidate of the Pedagogical Department of Special Education of the University of Thessaly. He is holder of a Certificate of Pedagogy and Teaching Integrity, holder of diplomas of Braille and Greek Sign Language, and a scientific associate of the Department of Speech Language Therapy of the University of Patras.

The special therapy centre employs qualified staff who provide speech therapy, ergotherapy, psychological support, counselling, special education and early intervention. All staff undertake ongoing training and are experienced in childcare and caring for adults.

Treatment programmes are tailored to meet clients’ needs and are implemented in a fully equipped and pleasant environment in the city centre.

At our center, our special skills include the certified use of tools such as Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and Superficial Electromyography (NMES + sEMG), the M.O.R.E. system, the S.O.S. approach to feeding, the GET PERMISSION Approach©, the Oral Placement Therapy (OPT), Neuromuscular Taping and the LoMonte technique for the behavioral, neuromotor & sensorimotor disorders of speech & swallowing, Voicecraft©, Accent Method and LSVT Loud® for voice disorders and Sensory Integration (S.I.) for the sensory processing disorders.

Those working at the centre have also acquired certifications of structured training on autism spectrum disorders with TEACCH , Attention Autism, Social StoriesTM, Intensive Interaction and More Than Words, on development of functional communication with Floortime®, PECS and MACATON, on early intervention and dyspraxia with Phoneme Touch and Say ™, on diagnostics and intervention in learning difficulties with Athina Test and on multifactorial intervention models for stuttering with Palin PCI and Lexipontix.
