The MAVROUDIS LEONIDAS - LASER MICROSURGERY VISION Laser Microsurgery Vision Ophthalmology Center, which is staffed with highly trained ophthalmologists (oculists), is located and operates in the “PLATEIA” shopping center, in an emblematic building with significant social, business, and architectural recognition in Northern Greece, in the heart of the commercial center of Thessaloniki, next to Aristotelous Square.

The center was founded by Leonidas Mavroudis, has been operating since 2006 as a refractive surgery center and, since March 2015, operates as a One Day Clinic, providing high-level diagnostic, imaging, clinical, and surgical services with the most modern methods and techniques, and with medical equipment and facilities that are continuously upgraded and enriched.

Our center has always been at the forefront of technological advancements in the field of Ophthalmology. In recent years, after being licensed as a One Day Clinic (ODC), a complete modernization of our equipment and techniques, as well as a full retraining of our staff have taken place.

We now have the capability to operate as a Day Clinic both for the patients of the Center and for fellow ophthalmologists seeking the latest technology in their field, while providing a wide range of specialized services for their better personal service.

In our center there are:

• 6 fully equipped examination rooms for simultaneous patient examinations
• 3 specialized diagnostic and imaging examination rooms, providing the capability to cover all diagnostic tests related to any ophthalmological issue
• 2 independent operation rooms that meet all required specifications, where ophthalmological surgeries of anterior and posterior segments are performed
• A fully equipped refractive center with Schwind Amaris Laser refractive suite.
• The latest and most specialized equipment.

Refractive surgeries are performed in our center with the use of laser for the correction of presbyopia with the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses, as well as the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism with modern Laser techniques and corneal-keratoconus cataract surgeries. YAG laser surgeries are performed, as well as biometry with Zeiss IOL Master 700, corneal topography and tomography with Pentacam, OCT, and Tracey.

Specialized care is provided for children with strabismus, nystagmus, and amblyopia, as well as treatment for pediatric cataracts, allergies, infections, and inflammations.

A comprehensive examination and monitoring of glaucoma is conducted using digital photography and optical nerve tomography, Angiovue, OCTA, and electronic perimetry visual field test with the Humphrey Field Analyzer.

Diabetic lesions and macular diseases are treated with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT & OCT-A), digital fundus photography, and fluorescein angiography. Treatments are applied with Multipulse–Micropulse Laser and intravitreal injections.

Comprehensive treatment for dry eye, blepharitis, and meibomian gland dysfunction is provided.

Conditions such as vitreous and retinal detachment, as well as tears, are treated with modern diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.

A-Scan and B-Scan ultrasonography examinations are conducted, which provide valuable information about the structure of the eye.

Finally, facial esthetic services and cosmetic upper-lower blepharoplasty, as well as Botox applications, are provided.
