Dr MARKOPOULOS MARIOS MD, MSc, PhD is an Obstetrician - Gynecologist - Endoscopic Surgeon and doctor of the Medical School of the University of Athens.
He studied at and graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens. He received his specialty title in obstetrics and gynecology from the university clinic of the Aretaieion Hospital of Athens.
He was specialized in endoscopic (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery in London, Great Britain (King’s College & Princess Royal University Hospital). He is a leader at an international level in the application of cryomyolysis for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
He was subsequently specialized in female reproduction with postgraduate studies in the “Research of female reproduction” and service in the unit of assisted reproduction of the King’s College Hospital, in London.
Finally, he was proclaimed doctor of the Medical School of the University of Athens for his research work regarding the polycystic ovary syndrome in menopause, which won many international awards. He is an instructor at the postgraduate program of the Medical School of the University of Athens “Research of the Female Reproduction”.
