ROMANA ANTHI, Bacteriological - Clinical Laboratory in Komotini. The microbiologist ROMANA ANTH who operates a microbiology laboratory (Bacteriological - Clinical Laboratory) in Komotini has graduated from the Medical School of the G. D'Annunzio University in Italy, with honors.

After completing her studies, she worked for two years in the microbiology laboratory of the university she attended. She specialized in biopathology - microbiology at the 401 General Army Hospital of Athens, where she received a specialization title in male infertility - semen analysis. She has worked at the General Hospital of Livadia and as a registrar at the General Hospitals of Didymoteicho and Drama.

As a specialist biopathologist, she received specialization in vaginal smear culture at the Aretaieio University Hospital of Athens. She also specialized in parasitology, at the National School of Public Health of Athens. From November 2018 to April 2019, she attended specialization in laboratory andrology at the School of Medicine of Athens. She has taken part, with papers, speeches and announcements, in numerous conferences and workshops in Greece and abroad.

Since August 2014, she operates a microbiological diagnostic medical office in Komotini. The medical office is located on the ground floor to facilitate access for people with mobility problems.

The following departments operate at the medical office: department of microbiology, hematology, biochemistry, hormonology, immunology, as well as a fertility testing and prenatal screening department.

Internal quality controls are carried out daily at the medical office. It also participates in full external quality control programs by certified bodies, to ensure the validity of the results.

Moreover, at the microbiology laboratory of Ms. Romana, tests are carried out for the diagnosis of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, in compliance with all the necessary protective measures. Specifically, the following tests are performed: a) Molecular PCR test with the possibility of its translation in English with the use of QR Code, b) Rapid (antigen) test with the possibility of its translation in English with the use of QR Code, c) COVID-19 antibody test.
