Endocrinologist Dr Iliopoulou Amalia MD, MRCP, with private office in Athens, graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and was awarded with a state scholarship for exceptional performance in the Panhellenic University Entrance exams.
Following graduation, she continued her education in the United Kingdom, where she, initially, specialised in General Medicine and, subsequently, subspecialised in Diabetes and Endocrinology at St James’ University Hospital in Leeds.
Following her return to Greece, she worked for 2 years as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the University Hospital Aretaieion and now has a private clinic in Kolonaki, Athens.
She specialises in the management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases, type 1, type 2 diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes. She, also, has a special interest in menstruation problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome and infertility. She manages osteoporosis, pituitary and adrenal gland problems and a vast variety of other issues that have to do with hormone problems.
She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians Of London, following successful examinations. She is a member of the Greek Endocrine Society, the Society for Endocrinology (UK) and the Endocrine Society (USA).
