The vascular surgeon LYKOPOULOS DIMITRIOS MD, MSc operates his medical office in Veroia.

He is principally active in modern vascular ultrasound diagnostics with color Doppler ultrasound (Triplex) (he was trained in Italy), as well as modern endovascular treatments.

He has a Master degree in vascular diagnostic ultrasound (Transnational Degree, University of Thessaly - Universita de gli Studi di Genova, Italy, 2017) and is a certified member of the Italian Society of Vascular Diagnostics - SIDV (GIUV) Societa Italiana di Diagnostica Vascolare, Accredited Operator for the performance of Vascular Exams, October 2010 - Italian Society of Vascular Investigation.

Moreover, he is a member of the Italian Phlebological Association - Associazione Flebologica Italiana (AFI), with particular specialization and experience in the treatment of venous diseases of the lower extremities with minimally invasive methods, with the use of Laser and ultrasound guidance, as well as the chemical ablation of abnormal veins with the use of foam (Tessari method - training in Bologna, Italy, at the center of postgraduate studies CPMA, with Tessari, Frullini, Cavezzi as instructors).

As an associate of the Interbalkan Medical Center and of Bioclinic in Thessaloniki, as well as of “Evaggelismos” (a private clinic in Veroia), he performs painless invasive methods and, in particular, the ones for the treatment of venous diseases, using intraluminal Laser since 2008, as well as modern endovascular and classic vascular surgery operations for the treatment of arterial diseases.

At the medical office, apart from the clinical examination and diagnostic checks, are also performed the preventive screening for atherosclerosis, as well as the ultrasound assessment of the risk of atherosclerotic plaque - the assessment of the annual risk of stroke and the prevention of venous diseases.

The minimally invasive methods which are performed at the medical office, include ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, foam sclerotherapy, sclerotherapy for vein strengthening - ambulatory treatment.
