Barbagiannis Thanos, Obstetrician - Gynecologist - Senologist, operates his ultramodern and fully equipped medical office in Kavala.

He is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of England in the field of reproduction, family planning and contraception, a member of the Hellenic Society of Colposcopy and is certified, after the respective examinations, in England and Greece. He is also a member and graduate, after the respective examinations, of the Hellenic Senologic Society and a member of the European Society of Endoscopy (ESGE).

He is contracted with EOPYY (the Hellenic National Health Services Organization) and with other social security funds and cooperates with most of the insurance companies.

In pregnancy the following are provided: monitoring, from pregnancy planning to the specialized prenatal screening and the completion of the delivery, with zero maternal morbidity and mortality and with a usual hospitalization of 3 days for the mother, regardless of the mode of delivery (vaginal delivery or caesarean section).

The incidence of a caesarian section is 12% (much lower than average) and women who have previously undergone a caesarian section can give birth by vaginal delivery, with absolute safety, in over 70% of the cases. There is no obstetric injury or loss of a newborn, during vaginal delivery or caesarian section, and there is minimal intraoperative blood loss and zero transfusions, due to the special handling, during the procedures.

In the operating room, operations are carried out quickly and with absolute safety, minimizing the time of general anesthesia, while there is collaboration with an oncologist, a plastic surgeon and a general surgeon for optimal results and all operations are personalized, with full respect to the needs and wishes of each patient.

In terms of prevention, we have state-of-the-art equipment, in order to detect even the slightest anomalies as early as possible, so that their treatment is fully feasible and effective.
