IATRIKO RODOU – SKONIS MICHALIS

The Microbiological Laboratory of IATRIKO RODOU – SKONIS MICHALIS Medical Bacteriological - Clinical Laboratory is located in the region of Aghios Nikolaos, at 95 Canada Street, in Rhodes, with the Microbiologist-Biopathologist doctor Michalis Skonis in charge.

The Medical Laboratory is less than 2 km away from the commercial port and only 150 meters from Nea Marina Rhodes. In an outdoor and indoor area, more than 500 sq.m. meters, the medical centre was completely rebuilt and turned into a luxurious diagnostic center, friendly and accessible to the patient, which respects people with mobility problems as there is not a single step from the yard to the blood collection site.

The scientific manager of the Clinic is Dr. Michalis Skonis, Microbiologist-Biopathologist, specialized in the Hippocrates General Hospital of Athens, who has specialized with post-graduate studies, in Spermology and in the laboratory control of Male Infertility at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens - School of Medicine and at the University of the West Attica - School of Health & Welfare Sciences - Department of Biomedical

Sciences.While visiting the Laboratory, the patient who has movement problem or simply difficulty walking, can park his car in one of the 4 private car parking spaces of our private parking. There is the possibility of transfer from the car to the blood draw area with the wheelchair seat of our medical centre. Taking care of the health of its examinees but also the safety of the attendants as well as its staff, our cantre has created a special outdoor sampling area, necessary for taking samples for coronavirus test (Covid Test) thus avoiding its entry into the practice and the creation of synchronicity.

In addition, our cyclist friend who will visit the doctor’s office can safely park his bike in the special places for bicycle parking. Finally, the examined guests who have their beloved four-legged friend with them, can leave him in the special waiting area for pets until they leave the Laboratory.

Internally, while waiting to be served in the airy, bright and comfortable waiting area, the examinee can use the FIBER High Speed WiFi internet network of the Laboratory. The wait will not last long as the medical centre has 2 sampling rooms and experienced blood samplers.

It also has a special room for sperm collection (equipped with TV and WiFi) and vaginal specimen collection, in which there is a private toilet for the personal hygiene of the examinees.

After the sampling is completed, the examinee can choose to receive the results printed from the Laboratory, to be sent by e-mail so that he does not have to come back or be sent directly to their doctor. After the examination, our Laboratory will keep the rest of your blood sample on its premises, for a week, so that when the Doctor who monitors your test results sees you and wishes to add an examination, it can be done without having to come back to the Laboratory and have a new blood draw.

It is pointed out that, IATRIKO RHODES Medical laboratories, keeping all the rules and safety protocols of GPDR, keeps a record of the results of your examinations, so you can, if you wish to ask the helpdesk, by showing your ID.
